If you run into inappropriate behaviour during a call, you can report it with a single tap. Review is fast and the outcome is clear.

Only the last 10 seconds

The system stores only the final 10 seconds before the report, for review purposes. Nothing outside that window is ever recorded or kept.

Firm enforcement

If a violation is confirmed, the user is removed from the port, suspended for a period, or — for serious violations — permanently banned at the device level.

Calls take place directly between devices over WebRTC; your video and audio do not pass through our servers, so your conversations cannot be observed by a third party.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use Teleport?
No. After installing the app you can tap “Start” and begin using it right away. If you like, you can link a Google account so your friends and ports are available on another device — but that is entirely optional.
If I don't link an account, will I lose my data?
No. As long as you don't delete the app from your phone, your account stays active and your data remains available to you.
What is a port?
A port is a closed space that belongs to a group who already know each other: a family, a class, a team. Inside it you get random one-to-one calls — but you can only get in if someone invites you.
How do I get ports?
Three ways: a single-use code from whoever opened the port, a multi-person invite link, or tapping a port link and sending a join request. All three are free.
Can I create my own port?
Yes — with no application and no approval: you create it from the app in a few steps. Your port is never listed anywhere; people get in only with a code or an invite link you hand out. You can post announcements and use your port's weekly broadcast time.
How does matching work?
When you enter a port, the system pairs you one-on-one (peer-to-peer) with another user and a video call begins.
Are my calls recorded?
No. A 10-second window is kept only at the moment a report is made; nothing else is ever stored. That recording is used solely for review.
What should I do if I encounter inappropriate behaviour?
Just press the report button during the call. After review, a confirmed violation results in removal from the port, a temporary restriction, or a permanent ban.
Are my calls private? Can a third party watch them?
No. Calls take place directly between devices over WebRTC and do not pass through our servers.
Can I become friends with the person I talked to?
Yes. You can send a friend request during the call; once accepted, you can message each other or have another video call.
